Tiger On made a good impression at his first start at Wodonga running a great first up fourth. He was beaten just a length after a bit of interference early in the straight.

In his trial at Benalla Tiger charged to the lead and fizzled out at the end which is not the way to win races.

In the Wangaratta trial Tiger took a sit but had no idea how to finish off.

So today Cory Parish was instructed to take a sit and encourage Tiger to hit the line hard.

This he did with his job not made easier by the tight turning track and the short Wodonga straight. Tiger was fifth early on the rails and then took some time on straightening to get balanced.

Once he worked out what was required the race was all over but Tiger was in front 100 metres past the post and as far as he is concerned he won it.

The plan now is to step up to 1200 metres next start.
