Reward For Effort is ahead of sires like Redoutes Choice, Savabeel, Choisir, Written Tycoon, Exceed and Excel just to name a few on the 2 year old and 3 year old sire's list and is doing everything right at present and is a sire on the up.

Reward For Effort (by Exceed And Excel) is a Group 1 winner of the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes. He has produced 57 winners including 3 stakeswinners and 1 stakes placed horse.

This colt is from the Hussonet mare Hushabye Baby. She is the dam of stakeswinner Scarlet Billows who was trained by Darren Weir.

Hushabye Baby is closely related to a number of stakeswinners including Smytzer's Rivalry, winner of the Group 3 SAJC Sires' Produce Stakes, Top Dance (AJC Emancipation Stakes) and Dancing Sculptor (Mornington Cup).

The colt is currently being broken in and has impressed the breaker.

"He arrived a bit too fat from the sales but his blossomed under his work.

He looks so much better now and I think during the sale he was going through a big growth phase.

He is a real speed horse and exceptionally light on his feet.

He feels exceptionally strong behind the saddle and with a bit more growing in the next few weeks i'd suggest he will definitely be an early runner.

He is a very relaxed chilled out horse but everything I asked he did it with ease and to me he will be one of those horses that does better in work than out of work as he was always eager to do something and seemed to always want to do more.

He has a great attitude and you would be very confident he will make the grade.

I wish they were all like him."
