Archery Peak Shows His Class At Pakenham

Archery Peak put in a strong performance to win at Pakenham today.

Rider Jordan Childs dropped him out to last for the first three quarters of the race and then started a long run which Archery Peak maintained to the line.

He won comfortably by a length despite covering more ground than every other runner.

Trainer Simon Morrish was impressed with the run as he had suggested pre-race that Archery Peak struck him as more of a grinder.

Childs who has ridden Archery Peak in all his three Australian starts felt that the horse had improved each time and said he was very strong to the line.
