A brilliant day at Ballarat for the official opening of the Cumani Racing stable complex and the culmination of the Hearts Racing "You Don't Know Jack" competition.

A crowd of 250 people gathered at the stables including the local Member of Parliament, the CEO of Racing Victoria and committee members of the Ballarat Turf Club.

Matt's sister Francesca did a very capable job as MC with catering provided by Hearts Racing.

A number of horses including Jack were paraded before the attendees. He was perfectly behaved despite seeing more people in one place than he was used to.

Matt drew the winning entry of a 5% share in Jack plus 12 months training fees worth $5,000.

The winner was Rebecca Jamison-Jones, a horse enthusiast who was absolutely thrilled with her prize.

As she only lives 10 minutes from the racecourse, Jack is sure to get a lot of visits from Rebecca as his training continues.

The assembled multitude then dispersed, the majority to the racetrack to enjoy a wonderful Ballarat Cup day.
